C'est Moi

This blog was borne when I spoke to a lady about the importance of finding your happy place - I told her a few funnies and she laughed.  After she stopped laughing she told me she hadn't laughed in months.  And she wasn't exaggerating.  A week or so later when I was cleaning I found my own happy book I started many moons ago - a book which helped me hold onto hope and love in so many ways.  So I'm sharing some of the happy place in my mind incase anyone might need it - and if nobody does - well there can never be too much encouragement and joy in the world!

I am a twenty something student mental health nurse living in the north east of england with a gorgeous collie/lab cross called Roxie, four beautiful monochromatic cats called Holly, Zaphira, Melaena and Edith, a micro teacup pomeranian named Sophie and a tank full of prettiful fish.
I am somewhat kookie, a little weird, very loving and usually smiling.
I am passionate about raising awareness and breaking stigmas surrounding mental illness and have a heart for supporting, encouraging and empowering those who struggle with their mental health.

I am a host for WeRFreEDomFighters, am heavily involved with Hungry For Change, Bipolar UK, Time for Change and various other projects utilising my own experiences and lessons learned to help encourage, support, inform and equip others in anyway I can in their own battles.

I love to travel and get itchy feet on a regular basis.  I enjoy most music depending on my mood, love rugby - watching and playing (though I dont play much anymore) and I am a geeky little bookworm and proud!

My friendships are the most important treasures I have acquired in this world and Im very blessed by them.  My girls are my family - they keep me sane and make my heart happy.

When all comes to all- I am a girl, a woman who is ever learning, growing, healing, loving, laughing, crying, trying, seeking, finding - LIVING!
